Version 2 of the plastic brooche

So, I made melted plastic brooches a time ago and I figured that gluing the safety pin is not the best solution. So I melted the pin into the brooche itself. Additionally I added an impression of coins on the tin foil inside of the brooche.

The plastic brooche

I got my hands on plastic granules intended for melting. Obvious thing to do is making brooches out of it. I made some 40 mm diameter discs with about 3-4 mm thickness. A round piece of tin foil is baked into it, which gives a nice reflecting effect.
